Enabling SunGard Sub-Custody Capabilities Through EI Vendor Management
A global custody services provider needed the capability to more easily support sub-custody relationships and found itself limited by the configuration of its current custody services platform. Working directly with the vendor – SunGard – they were having trouble negotiating the customizations of their platform that their new business model required and were challenged with managing this vendor. EI’s Vendor Management services worked with the customer to broker the service agreement and tightly manage the requirements for the customizations that were needed, greatly reducing the runaway scope of the vendor-driven proposal through their SunGard sub-custody capabilities.
EI’s Solution Implementation teams for Trust Services, with depth of experience in SunGard products, drove requirements and designs for the customizations directly to the vendor, and then helped the company operationalize the changes to their sub-custody processing to integrate the newly provided capabilities into their trust operations. As a result of partnering with EI, the company was able to aggressively manage their relationship with their core trust services tools and optimize the delivery and implementation of the updated capabilities, allowing them to better handle a growing base of sub-custody relationships in their service demand.
